Regeneration 1 is a non-profit in Elizabeth, New Jersey providing transitional sober living and wraparound recovery support for individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration, addiction, homelessness, or other life-disrupting challenges.

Regeneration 1 is a community-based organization in Elizabeth, New Jersey dedicated to supporting individuals who are rebuilding their lives after incarceration, substance use disorder, and other life challenges.
We provide transitional housing, workforce readiness training, and access to education and technology resources that help people move forward with stability and purpose. Our programs focus on accountability, life skills, and practical pathways to employment so individuals can build independent and sustainable futures.
By combining structured support with community partnerships, Regeneration 1 helps justice-impacted individuals reconnect with opportunity, restore dignity, and contribute positively to their families and neighborhoods.

Justice-impacted individuals returning home after incarceration or substance use recovery often carry heavy burdens - trauma, mental health struggles, broken relationships, unemployment, and the pressure to rebuild everything at once. Without housing, structure, and support, starting over can feel overwhelming.
At Regeneration 1, we walk alongside individuals as they rebuild their lives with dignity, accountability, and purpose.

Regeneration means Spiritual Rebirth.
Founded in 2019 by Edward Roberts, Regeneration 1 grew out of lived experience. What began as prison Bible study and community outreach became a calling to create a structured, faith-centered recovery community where individuals are supported - not defined - by their past.
